Day 1:  Arrival transfer from San Salvador  Airport –35 min   //
Welcome to the airport. At your arrival, one of our representatives will assist you and transfer you to San Salvador City towards your hotel, approximately 30 kms. Overnight at San Salvador.

Day 2:  San Salvador City Tour and Transfer to Suchitoto – 8 hrs   B//

In the morning our guide will pick you up at the hotel and he  will take you through the Salvadorean Capital City, visiting the main avenues and monuments of San Salvador, the primary residential zones of the Capital City, the Historical Centre (Metropolitan Cathedral, National Palace and National Theatre), the “Divina Providencia Chapel”, where Monseñor Romero was murdered, and El Rosario Church. In the afternoon visit San Salvador´s Volcano, also called “El Boquerón”, take a walking tour through this wonderful natural park and get the best view of the city and panoramic view to the crater with its particular “volcancito” (or “little volcano” inside. Later transfer to Suchitoto. Overnight at Suchitoto.

Day 3 :Suchitoto Full Day Tour– 8 hrs   B//

Suchitoto Colonial Town El Salvador

Today you are waking up in the Colonial Stile Town of Suchitoto. Suchitoto means “Place of Flower Birds”, in Nahuatl. The city of Suchitoto offers the essence of the old colonial architecture. Visit its beautiful cobbled streets, art galleries, the Ruins’ Theater, the House of Crafts and the Santa Lucia Church, built in 1853, one of the main attractions of the city for its architecture and its historical significance. In the afternoon  enjoy a boat ride at Suchitlán Lake, the biggest artificial surface water in our country with a 135 square kms, enjoy this relaxing tour, watching the magic small islands in the lake. Overnight at Suchitoto.

 

Day 4: The Mayan Route – 8 hrs   B//

After breakfast, transfer to Las Flower’s Route, but en route discover all the secrets of Mayan Civilization visiting the archaeological sites of Joya de Cerén, declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1993, also called the Pompeii of America, for its valuable contribution to the knowledge of present civilization, then visit the Ruins of San Andrés, a very important political and religious centre with diverse structures for the use of the governors during that period. Later visit the city of Santa Ana, one of the most important cities in El Salvador, where you will be able to take a panoramic tour, visiting its beautiful gothic cathedral, theatre and national palace. Last but not least, visit the Ruins of Tazumal (the largest pyramid in El Salvador) a sophisticated and important Mayan settlement. Overnight at Flower’s Route.

Visit the colorful authentic colonial towns with beautiful mountainous vegetation: Nahuizalco where you can enjoy a guided tour by the community, Apaneca and Ataco, two of greatest coffee making towns. Observe the elaboration of handicrafts of the zone and make shopping in the local stores. Take a coffee tour, where local experts in coffee production  will show you how is the process to obtain this popular beverage. The Flowers Route is one of the most popular tourist destinations and named for its abundance of flowers on the picturesque road. Overnight at Flower’s Route.

Day 6 :  Volcano and Lake Complex  – 8 hrs   B//

Transfer to the Lake and Volcano Complex to visit Cerro Verde. Cerro Verde is an inactive volcano located at an altitude of 2035 meters and length of 500 hectares. It has a cloud forest in and around the crater with a temperature of between 12 and 18 degrees centigrade. Sightseeing to the “Izalco Volcano”, best known as the Pacific Lighthouse and the Ilamatepec Volcano (Santa Ana´s Volcano). Next, visit to the volcanic lake “Coatepeque”, cataloged amongst the most beautiful of the world. Later transfer to San Salvador. Overnight at  San Salvador.

Day 7: Departure Transfer  – 35 min   B//
Three hours before your flight departs, transfer to the El Salvador’s International Airport, for your return flight .
